Orthopaedic Surgery Associates is now Advanced Center for Orthopedics

Orthopaedic Surgery Associates of Marquette, P.C., has officially changed its name to Advanced Center for Orthopedics. The practice's name change follows expansion efforts in 2008 with the practice’s new suite at Upper Peninsula Medical Center. While the orthopedic practice name has changed, current and prospective patients can be assured Advanced Center for Orthopedics will continue to deliver the same great care it has since 1966.

“As a continuous effort to provide the best orthopedic care within the Upper Peninsula, we felt it was necessary to change the practice name to one that better reflects our commitment to excellent orthopedic care and the residents we serve,” explains Dale Moilanen, Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Center for Orthopedics.

The three newly acquired practice surgeons, who received additional medical training through fellowships within their respective areas of specialty, include shoulder and elbow specialist Dr. Jason D. Doppelt, hand specialist Dr. Nathan S. Taylor and foot and ankle specialist Dr. Zachary C. Leonard. All three surgeons are treating patients at the practice's Marquette and Ishpeming locations.

Advanced Center for Orthopedics’ physicians proudly serve as the official team physicians for Northern Michigan University, United States Olympic Education Center (USOEC), Marquette High School and Gwinn High School. In addition, the practice’s nine specialty trained physicians offer care through six convenient locations throughout the Upper Peninsula, including Marquette, Escanaba, Ishpeming, L'Anse, Munising and Newberry.

Advanced Center for Orthopedics and its nine orthopedic specialists are the area's leading orthopedic and sports medicine providers. The physicians of Advanced Center for Orthopedics specialize in individualized orthopedic care and have advanced training in the shoulder and upper extremity, hand and wrist, hip and knee, foot and ankle as well as sports medicine, joint replacement and revision, trauma and plastics and reconstruction.
