Colleen Dupuis, D.O.

Primary Care Sports Medicine, Non-Surgical Orthopedic Specialist

Advanced Center for Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery is pleased to welcome Board Certified Sports Medicine Physician Colleen Dupuis, DO. Dr. Dupuis joins our growing orthopedic team and specializes in comprehensive, non-surgical treatments for a wide range of orthopedic and sports-related conditions, from routine sprains and strains to concussions, fractures, and arthritis. She will be seeing patients in Marquette and Ishpeming clinics as well as on-site at Northern Michigan University for athletic team coverage and care.

Dr. Dupuis’ goal is to help people of all ages and activity levels live active lives in the safest and healthiest way as possible. She especially enjoys working with the pediatric and adolescent patient populations and getting out into the community to teach safe sports practices to young athletes.

Involving her patients as an integral member of the team is key to the success of her treatment program.

“Patients have the best outcomes when we work together as a team and keep the lines of communication open,” she said. “It is important for patients to understand exactly what is going on with their health and what kinds of treatment options are available to them, so they can make the best decisions for the best results. It is also important that I understand their personal goals for their health and hobbies, so that we can work to keep them on the path to achieve their goals.”

Dr. Dupuis comes to Marquette County from Houghton Aspirus where she spent the last 3 years providing sports medicine care to residents of the Copper County.  Prior to that she worked in Loveland, Colorado, where she was a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician for Banner Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, as well as a team physician for Northern Colorado University. She also worked as a Family Medicine and Sports Medicine Physician for Banner Medical Group and held a faculty position instructing the Sports Medicine Elective at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
